We have to admit that we’re blown away with all the beautiful outfits that Miss Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa has been wearing in different activities for the 63rd Annual Miss Universe pageant.
And no, we’re not being biased. It’s just that a lot of the past delegates have been criticized for bad outfit choices before and during the actual pageant.
Going back to MJ, it’s safe to say that 98% of the outfits she’s worn so far have all been beautiful.
Here’s a lookback.

The leopard print long-sleeved dress she wore for her send-off didn’t show a lot of skin yet it was still fierce and sexy.

This cleavage-showing long sleeved red dress was simple yet showed that red so fits her.

This little black dress wasn’t perfect but we love its simplicity and the silver details was just the right amount of accent.

This fuchsia number she wore for the Celebration of Nations Parade and Festival was a head-turner not just because of the color but also because of the high slit and the way it flowed whenever she walked.

Peplum may be so yesterday but this little brown dress was still a winner, thanks to the shade and the right amount of texture and shimmer.

The fit wasn’t perfect (take note of the armpit area), and the embellishments were a little too chunky, but MJ was still able to rock this shining shimmering splendid gown.

We love how MJ wore a light brown dress to one of the rehearsals while some (like those in the background) opted for a more casual get-up of jeans and long-sleeved tops.

Okay, this was a little too blingy and we’re not totally feeling the kuma-cowboy boots, but props for MJ for still rocking an outfit not everyone can easily pull off.

We’ve already seen her wear this pale pink dress in the Philippines but who cares? It’s in such a nice shade and the neckline is so pretty it gives MJ a softer appeal.

One can never go wrong with white so MJ certainly did it right when she wore this simple white dress to the Miss Universe press junket.

For the prelims intro, MJ had to wear a pink cropped top and a matching skirt, just like some of the candidates. Not the best shade of pink, but she did okay.

For the national costume segment, MJ’s outfit was criticized for its color (how very ube, strawberry, and keso dirty ice cream), and design (how very Iced Gem biscuits and Goldilocks cake-inspired). Oh, and that floral head dress? Gurl, Lana del Ray wants a cut.

We’re so happy the swimsuit MJ had to wear for the prelims was a fuchsia two-piece because the color fits her perfectly and a two-piece so shows her soda bottle figure.

The Alfredo Barraza white evening gown she wore to the prelims wasn’t horrible. It’s so much better than what Janine Tugonon, Venus Raj, and Ariella Arida wore in the recent years. While it’s as nice as what Shamcey Supsup wore when she competed, everyone’s issue with the Barraza gown is that it makes her look short.

By now, it’s safe to say that apart from bright pinks and reds, neutrals and light browns with sparkling embellishments do MJ good. Just look at what she wore to a rehearsal and to say hi to her crown 😉
