Good news for Filipino fans of America’s Got Talent, 10-year-old Filipino-American Angelica Hale was named 1st runner-up in this season’s America’s Got Talent.
Angelica was in the finals with Darci Lynne Farmer, a 13-year-old singing ventriloquist from Oklahoma City, who eventually won the competition.

Angelica sang Symphony by Clean Bandit in yesterday’s finale, a performance that was praised by all the judges.
“This is the finale, and that felt like that was the finale. That’s the way to close a show, let alone open a show,” Howie Mandel said.

Judge Heidi Klum, who has said that Angelica is her personal favorite said: “You know what, Angelica? For me, I think you are the best singer we have in this entire competition.”
Judges also praised Darci Lynn’s act, in which she sang The Beatles’ With A Little Help From My Friends, with a little help from her friends — two puppets.

She got a standing ovation from the judges.
“You are just hands down incredible,” judge Mel B said. “I’ve said this from the very beginning, hence you’re my golden buzzer. You could win this.” And she did.
Still, the Filipino community say they remain proud of all that Angelica has achieved.
