As if taking over half the world with new branches was not enough, Jollibee has found more ways to raise the Filipino flag abroad — including engaging in a dance battle with other food mascots.

Jollibee was caught on video doing a dance-off with Barci, the bird mascot of South African fast-casual chain Nando’s in a mall in Malaysia.

Nando’s Malaysia posted a video on TikTok showing the Bee walking by itself at a mall.

“Jollibee was seen walking away sadly on his own until… Barci invited him to a dance party!” The video reads.

The clip then showed Jollibee and Barci grooving to upbeat music at the mall. So far the video has racked up over 20,000 likes and 300 comments.

“Making me want to grab Jollibee and Nando’s because this was so wholesome,” one user wrote.

“Why do things like this never happen when I’m at the mall,” another said.

As Filipinos are well aware, the Jollibee is one heck of a dancer, especially when it comes to children’s birthday parties — staying up to date with the latest dance challenges through the years.

Jollibee has been well received in Malaysia since it first opened in Kota Kinabalu in Sabah. Its first branch in West Malaysia at Sunway Pyramid opened earlier this year and sold out of the brand’s famed Chickenjoy on its first day.
