Since Media Noche is just around the corner and lechon is a staple during celebrations like it, let me share with you a lechon story that you will hopefully find funny.
An actress told me this super true LOLers story, but since my memory is the worst, my version might be a little different, but still, the punchline is the same:
In England, a Filipina and her English husband are having a party for their friends. They all have just finished their appetizers so the Filipina called for the maid (who was neither Filipina nor English) and told her to bring out the lechon baboy or roasted pig. The English husband reminded the maid not to forget the whole apple, which he signaled should be placed in the mouth, for aesthetic reasons, and because that’s how we do it in the Philippines during fiestas.
After a while, the maid finally comes out of the kitchen with the humongous roasted pig.
