Craftpoint’s Love and Lust is a good introduction to the different flavors of the beer spectrum. It’s a sweet brew with a strong vanilla taste thanks to the organic beans from Papua New Guinea. The decadent richness is intertwined with a warm kick from the hot Dumang chillies.
It’s not too sweet, not too hot, not too strong. It won’t drown you in flavors, textures and sensations.
I had my bottle of Love and Lust with a piece of good ol’ silvanas, and it was a heavenly combination. I can imagine having this every Friday night as a welcome ritual for the weekend.
Looks like a lot of heart was put into this brew. Even the bottle is beautifully designed.
Craftpoint is a brewing company started by Aldous Bernanrdo, Chip Vega and Marvin Moreno. They’ve been actively taking small steps in changing the Philippine craft beer scene. They have a beer delivery service and a beer subscription club. They also have a ‘collabrewation’ with various Filipino artists who design the label of their bottles.
Love and Lust is the February special brew for their Beer Explorer Subsription club. Last month, they launched their champorado milk stout made from Malagos cacao shells. I wonder what’s in store next month.
