Hey, Pinoy Potato Corner fans — not to get you riled up or anything, but while you were probably stuck at Dangwa purchasing and putting together the same old bouquet of roses, Thailand’s Potato Corner decided to one-up the brand’s home country by releasing a limited-edition chicken bites bouquet.
Potato Corner Thailand posted a photo of their chicken bites bouquet — 10 pieces of bunched-up cutlets — that come with its own love letter cards where the sender can scribble messages on.
Coconuts checked the Philippine Facebook page to see whether our local Potato Corner offered a similar product for V-Day — while the chicken bites are available locally, it seems that the bouquet is a distinctly Thai invention.
Potato Corner Thailand said that only 50 bouquets, priced at THB159 (US$4.88 or PHP250) will be made available at participating branches, which include Central Plaza Ladprao, Central Plaza Rama 9, Central Plaza Pinklao, Siam Paragon and The Mall Bangkapi.
Founded in the Philippines by Jose Magsaysay Jr. in 1992, Potato Corner has become the leading flavored-fries brand in the country, and has now expanded its presence in 11 countries around the world. There are 54 branches in Thailand alone, according to the Potato Corner website.
Magsaysay reportedly sold Potato Corner to the Po family-owned Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures, Inc. in December.
