Pizza Express is back in Manila.

Last week, British food chain Pizza Express opened its first branch in the Philippines after it’s initial (but brief) operations in Greenbelt mall in 2003

This time, it’s in the Uptown mall in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Behind the local franchise is The Tasteless Food Group, the same company that owns the food hall Hole in the Wall in Makati’s Century City Mall.

Based on the Pizza Express Philippines menu, it looks like we can finally get a taste their popular dishes like the Baked Dough Balls (PHP195/US$3.80) served with garlic butter and your choice of pesto dip, the Leggera Superfood Salad (PHP390/US$7.60) made with mixed greens, avocado, roasted pumpkin, mozzarella, and balsamic dressing, and the Calabrese pizza (PHP595/US$11.60) topped with sausage, peppers, pesto, and arugula.

Apart from their close to 500 branches in the United Kingdom and Ireland, Pizza Express is also present in Hong Kong, India, and the Middle East, so those who have traveled to those place are probably already familiar with the restaurant.

Let’s see if the Philippine branch is up to par. Watch out for our full review of Pizza Express.
