Mother’s Day heirloom recipes at Spiral

The mother of all eat-all-you-can-meals is adding 25 more choices to its bursting-at-the-seams buffet menu.

On Mother’s Day Weekend, Sofitel’s Spiral will roll out heirloom dishes from its executive chef down to the restaurant manager—encompassing Japanese, Korean, Filipino and French cuisines.

Watch out for:

— Braised oxtail parmentier from executive chef Eric Costille’s mother
— Beef morcon from French cuisine chef Bettina Arguelles’ grandmother (above)
— Shishamo karaage with lemon wedge from Japanese chef Hiromi Yonekawa’s mother
— Stuffed chicken leg with Chinese sausage and preserved vegetable from Chinese chef Mok Chee Wan’s grandmother
— Chocolate red velvet cake from pastry chef Edgar Butawan’s great-grandmother
— And these ones:

Traditional Ilocano dishes will also be featured alongside products made of dragon fruit. Forget live bands as entertainment. To highlight the heritage theme, on site are an Abel Iloco weaver from Paoay via Museo Ilocos Norte, a barong embroiderer from Taal via Bergamo, and a basket weaver from Manila via SC Vizcarra
