As Cebu Pacific’s Manila-Melbourne route returns, Filipinos in Australia can have their (cheese)cake and eat it too, as the airline collaborated with a Melbourne-based ice cream brand to come up with a special flavor to mark the occasion: calamansi cheesecake!

Manila St., a small-batch, handcrafted ice cream brand in Melbourne, announced the new flavor on their social media page.

“A project with @cebupacificair to celebrate the resumption of its Melbourne-Manila route and create this unique flavour that blends the creaminess of cheesecake with the bright and zesty flavour of Calamansi fruit,” it wrote on Instagram.

“Calamansi is a citrus fruit that is widely used in Southeast Asian cuisine for its tangy flavor and health benefits. When combined with the rich and creamy taste of cheesecake, it creates a unique and exciting flavor experience that you won’t find anywhere else.”

Filipinos with loved ones in Melbourne can tip off their relatives to drop by Manila St’s ice cream stand at Melbourne Central this weekend, and join the draw to win return flight tickets.
