Lucky 13: Cupcakes by Sonja marks anniversary by selling cupcakes for PHP13 each

Who thought 13 could be a lucky number?

To celebrate its 13th anniversary, dessert shop Cupcakes by Sonja will sell selected cupcakes for just PHP13 (US$0.25) each. That’s gonna happen on Sept. 8, from 1pm to 3pm.

The original price tag for these literal babycakes is usually at least PHP95 (US$1.82) each. Customers can buy a maximum of 12 cupcakes from any of the brand’s three stores in the metro during the promo.

Cupcakes by Sonja opened in 2006 and became one of the first few stores in Manila to sell gourmet cupcakes. It’s particularly well-known for its Red Velvet Vixen cupcake, a dessert made with Belgian cocoa and topped with cream cheese icing.
