Jollibee dishes hot take on the Champ with a spicy version

Jollibee has been stepping up its game in attracting the millennial foodie market: after capitalizing on pandemic food trends (ube cheese, anyone?) and Y2K nostalgia, the fast-food giant has released a spiced-up twist on the beloved Champ burger.

Jollibee introduced the Spicy Champ on its social media pages, with foodie-approved ingredients that are slightly different than their typically classic Pinoy fare such as sriracha mayo and jalapeno slices—designed to create “little fireworks in your mouth,” as one testimonial described it.

A slight caveat, however: the Spicy Champ is available only in Metro Manila branches, so provincial-based Champ fans will have to likely wait for a nationwide rollout.
