Though it never really left, ’90s drinking hot spot Il Ponticello is back.
The “new” Il Ponticello is headed by executive chef Panky Lopez — and it’s got a new kitchen, new interiors and, most imporantly a new menu.
“What we serve here is modernized Italian. We’re trying to experiment with all those textures, presentations and platings,” he says. “But of course, still using the core of Italian cuisine, which is quality ingredients.”
On this episode of Instakitchen, chef Panky Lopez shows us how to rotolo (rolled pasta) filled with ricotta cheese, parmigiano, mortadella, cream reduction and Neapolitana-style tomato sauce — drizzled with pesto sauce.
