Californian cult favorite burger chain In-N-Out is setting up a pop-up store in Taguig City for a one day-only event today.
The brand is notoriously restrictive about expanding its operations in other parts of the world (and even within the US) but it looks like Filipinos can get a taste of its beloved “Animal Style” burgers today — at least, if you’re willing to brave the queues.
From 11am to 2pm today, Filipinos can order In-N-Out’s best-sellers at the Blackbeard’s Seafood Island at the Venice Grand Canal mall in McKinley Hill, Taguig City. The announcement was made by McKinley Hill’s Facebook page yesterday.
In-N-Out will be serving its Double-Double burgers (two cheese slices and two patties in a bun), Animal Style burgers (with extra Thousand Island spread, mustard grilled patties, and extra pickles), and Protein Style burgers (bun-less burger wrapped in layers of lettuce).
They will operate on a first-come, first-served basis as they have limited quantities for sale.
This isn’t the first time the brand has opened up a one-day pop-up store in Manila. They opened one in 2013 at the seafood restaurant Clawdaddy at Bonifacio High Street in Taguig City and again in 2015, when they held a pop-up in Filipino restaurant Giligan’s Island in Greenbelt 1, Makati City. In 2016, it was at the Italian restaurant Cibo at Promenade in Greenhills, San Juan City.
