Italianni’s is best known for its delicious pizza and pasta — a trip is almost always a carb-fest. So it’s only fitting for this 19-year-old restaurant (it opened in Makati city in 1996) to finally, finally serve breakfast.
Alas, not all Italianni’s locations will carry the new menu. Breakfast will only be available in its Greenbelt and Bonifacio High Street locations from 7am-10:30am.
But, check out the dishes below. People not from Makati or Taguig may just roll out of bed early and make the trek, because these look yummy and filling. Of course, what is breakfast without coffee, no? Each dishes comes with free caffeine, yay.
1. Country-style Chorizo & Beans. Savory, salty, sweet and filling, this sounds like the perfect breakfast for anyone suffering a hangover. Chorizo and beans topped with two eggs, baked and served in a skillet along with a piece of grilled Tuscan bread (PHP325).
2. Baked Ham and Cheese Bread Bowl
Strips of cured ham and shitake mushrooms swim in a bed of warm cheese sauce and then topped with a beautiful sunny side up egg, served in a baked bread bowl. It’s a complete meal, yo. (PHP295)
3. Three Cheese Potato Rosti Cups
It may look petite and cute but don’t be fooled, y’all. Warm grated potatoes in a bed of mozza, parmesan and taleggio cheeses topped with egg. It is served with bacon on the side, in a cute little cup. Each order comes with two of these deep-dishes. (PHP275)
