Filipino afternoon treats are typically as filling as complete rice meals (hello, carbs), but really, every bite is worth it. There’s nothing like a satisfying merienda strategically squeezed in between lunch and dinner.

For your next cheat day, may we suggest Seda BGC’s Merienda Fiesta, a festive buffet with a Filipino twist, available at Misto resturant until April 21?

“Diners will enjoy the original recipes that they grew up with, while discovering new flavors that enhance the taste,” said Seda’s group executive chef Romualdo “Pepe” Castillo.

The spread includes truffle scented arroz-caldo with magret duck breast, binatog risotto-style, quezo de bola quiche and an array of mouth watering pizzas like adobo, laing, sisig, adobo, caldereta and more.

This lumpiang ubod with hazelnut sauce is intriguing.

And so is this pancit with foie gras.

Of course there are also local delicacies, rice cakes and desserts such as puto with cheese, panna cota. There’s also a halo-halo station, where guests can mix-and match the ingredients.

Misto Restaurant, Seda BGC 30th st. cor 11th avenue, BGC, Taguuig City. +632 9458888. Available until April 21, 2017
