Jollibee has a new rice meal and it looks like it will get a lot of people raving talking (and eating). Called the Ultimate Burger Steak, it truly is the ultimate meal for a number of reasons. For starters, it uses that huge 1/3 pound patty of the Champ. Second, it is served on a bed of Jollibee’s signature crispy fries. Third, the patty is topped not just with tasty mushroom gravy but also with toasted garlic bits. Fourth, a sunny-side up egg tops a cup of steamed rice. Yes, all those in one plate.
Coconuts Manila got invited to the special reveal of Jollibee’s latest offering and we really had no idea about their newest dish. Other guests tried to guess; one wondered if it’s a combination of Jollibee’s viands while another asked if they’re finally offering sisig.
When the waiters entered the room with plates of Jollibee’s Ultimate Burger Steak, we were all surprised because it seemed like just a tweaked version of their Burger Steak meal.
That was until we tried the dish ourselves.
Burger Steak lovers will definitely love this meal because the patty is huge. The garlic bits also make a lot of difference, surprisingly. Personally, I like that the burger steak is so huge that I can partner it with rice and the fries alternately. I also just discovered how fries and gravy go good together (I know, I’m a late-bloomer). The best part is that I can enjoy a sunny-side up egg any time of the day. This is because, yes, the Ultimate Burger Steak is available the whole day.
