It looks like popular Cebu area restaurant chain Dimsum Break may be on the verge of “breaking through” (pun intended) to the Metro Manila market in the near future. Following robust brand growth in 2012, Dimsum Break parent company Harbour City Dimsum House Co. Inc.(HCDHCI) hopes to open two or three locations in Manila within the coming year.
According to a story appearing in Inquirer News, HCDHCI successfully opened a Dimsum Break at the SM North Edsa shopping complex last October. While not technically in the Metro Manilaa, the opening helped pave the way for further expansion into the capitol area.
Currently, HCDHCI operates 15 locations in the Cebu area, of which 11 are Dimsum Breaks. Since last July the company offers franchise opportunities for aspiring restauranteurs.
