Tired of pancakes or eggs benedict? Maybe it’s time for something more Pinoy, like the failsafe pandesal with some kesong puti (and no, we’re not talking about “kesong puti” in a jar – aka cream cheese). We’re talking about actual kesong puti; you know, the kind that comes wrapped in banana leaves.
Pandesal plus kesong puti = such a perfect combination. We don’t even wanna think about how many pieces we can consume (because we’re sure it’s embarrassingly a lot). Chef Ramon’s favorite incarnation would have to be Cavite’s Quesillo (carabao milk cheese) served with just out of the oven salakot (a salakot-shaped bread).
Now all we need is the perfect breakfast beverage…
