Fastfood chains like to experiment. Remember KFC’s Double Down, where two boneless fried chicken fillets take the place of buns? McDonald’s on the other hand has a bacon potato pie in Japan. Jollibee is no different (remember their Choco Mallow Pie or their Ube Cheesy Ice Craze?). Another great Jollibee “experiment” is the Pancake Sandwich where two pancakes take the place of the burger buns. In between are a flavorful sausage patty and a scrambled egg. You can also add a slice of quick-melt cheese, which makes it so much better.
Unlike most fastfood experiments, this product is actually very good. All the components work well with each other, resulting into one tasty treat. It’s like having breakfast available the whole day, sandwich form. Nothing beats taking off the wrapper of this affordable sandwich and getting a sniff of that salty butter scent.
Too bad Jollibee discontinued it.
