Tourists and locals flock to La Trinidad, Benguet — the Philippines’ strawberry capital — for its annual Strawberry Festival.

On Sun, Mar 19, they unveiled their giant strawberry cake, the highlight of the festival. According to ABS-CBN News, “the cake, which is about 1.5 meters high, 2.4 meters long and weighs about 2.5 tons can produce about 16,000 slices.”

In 2004, La Trinidad made it to the Guinness World Records with a 9.6-ton giant strawberry cake, making it the “largest fruit shortcake in the world.”

Aside from the giant strawberry cake, they also had a motocross competition and exhibition at the famous La Trinidad Strawberry Farm.
