On this episode of Carinderia Crawl, we visit a streetside eatery in a side of Makati that’s more “sa gilid ng” village than exclusive village.
But this has not stopped different types of people — from the tambay to the party boy — to descend upon the outdoor makeshift carinderia for a taste of its cheap and very delicious congee served with crispy lechon kawali. It’s the perfect ender to a night of drinking. Lovers Pares also serves camto (flank steak) pares, garlic rice and tokwa’t baboy.
We highly recommend this spot for its authenticity, character and overall yumminess.
