We all know noodles are huge in this part of the globe. So Hyatt’s decision to have is Café highlight noodle specialties in its 6-station buffet will make any diner feel like he’s on a culinary tour around the region.
Chef Fred Chen of Hyatt Regency Guiyang in China even flew in for this weeklong noodle fest, to make sure them noodles are as fresh and authentic as can be.
Noodle dishes from Southeast Asia like laksa from Singapore and Malaysia, pho from Vietnam, pad thai from Thailand, char kway teow from Malaysia and Indonesia, canton from the Philippines, as well as ramen and soba from Japan and wonton noodle soups from China, are included in the popular 6-station buffet, which starts PHP1,288.
“We’re going more for authenticity, so this for example, is something you’d get on the streets of Bangkok” Executive chef Michael Luedtke explains, as a plate of pad thai is placed on the table.
