Oct 1 is International Coffee Day, and KKK Coffee on Maginhawa Street has organized “Araw ng Kape 2016,” an afternoon of coffee talks in honor of everyone’s favorite caffeinated drink.
What to expect? A coffee art exhibition, and talks about coffee. There will also be performances from improv groups MAIS and One and a Half Men.
Here is the full schedule of the talks:
•Barista and Coffee Art exhibition by Anj Ferreria-Tan
•“Kape at Kilig: the intersectionality between coffee and Pinoy lovelife” by Brian Tenorio
•The Filipinization of Coffee by Ian Alfonso
•“Eat your History” by Clang Valencia
The program will start at 4pm with the after-party starting at 9pm. Admission is free, and KKK Coffee founder Brian Tenorio will serve free the first brew at 4pm.
