Anthony Bourdain feasts on Pinoy food anew in ‘Parts Unknown’ season 7 premiere

So that’s what Anthony Bourdain was doing in the country last December!

The Philippines is gaining a reputation as a gastronomical hub, and the world is slowly taking notice of our humble favorites.

Manila will take the spotlight in the season 7 premiere of Anthony Bourdain’s hit show “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown,”

Bourdain and his crew explored the country during the festive Christmas season. He sampled Pinoy staples like sisig, kare-kare, adobo, and halo-halo

The fastfood chain Jollibee was also included in his food itinerary. 

To give a glimpse of the fascinating Pinoy culture, the episode will conclude with the opening of the balikbayan box. 

Parts Unknown is a show that follows the famed chef as he discovers the culture and flavors of the world. The other places included in this season are Buenos Aires, Chicago, Georgia, the Greek Islands, Montana, and Senegal.

The Manila episode will air on Apr 24 on CNN.
