Amid constantly changing quarantine restrictions and social gathering measures, you may be thinking of doing a different approach for parties and celebrations. Here’s a thought: why not serve taho?
Felix Endrina of Mang Felix’s Taho has gone viral on social media for offering a clever and rather straightforward proposition: he can cater yummy taho, the classic Pinoy breakfast treat of silken tofu and arnibal or caramelized brown sugar syrup, for just 4,000 pesos.
Netizen Kenji Bragado was on his way to watch Spiderman: No Way Home at the Ayala Malls Circuit in Makati City when he spotted Endrina and decided to order taho before heading inside the cinemas.
“Nagtaho muna kami kay tatay kasi narinig namin sigaw nya then inintroduce nya na pwede daw pang-party ang kanyang taho (We decided to get some taho first from uncle after we heard his calls, then he mentioned that his taho can be served at parties),” Bragado wrote on his Facebook post that now has over 1,200 shares as of writing.
Bragado also posted photos of Endrina’s taho buckets, with attached placards that indicate his contact details.
“In these trying times all the more we have to support small and local businesses,” Bragado added.
With intimate events and earlier party times becoming the norm, treating guests to daytime taho isn’t actually a bad idea.
