Had one too many alcoholic drinks over the weekend? Nursing a nasty headache? Well, drinking in moderation is actually the best course of action. But since that may already be too late, here are 3 quick fixes from around the world that can do the trick.

1. Pickle juice, Russia
Russians love to drink and so it’s no surprise that they have a lot of hangover cures. One of the favorites is chugging the brine from a jar of pickles. The salt in the liquid supplies the electrolytes you need while the fermentation provides digestive probiotics.

2. Leche de Tigre, Peru
Leche de tigre or the leftover citrus-based marinade found in ceviche can also be an effective medicine for unwanted headache the morning after. It’s typically made with lime juice, chili, onion and salt.
Visit: Patricio’s Cevicheria, which serves a range of ceviche and regional kinilaw. Its food will pacify the pain as well as your hankering appetite. The tradicional kinilaw (PHP180) is served with cherry tomatoes, cilantro, sweet potatoes, pickled red onions, red radish, and jalapeno peppers for that added kick! 3. Hae jang soup, South Korea
Had more than your share of soju? You can rely on this traditional Korean stew to soothe the head-banging. Literally meaning “soup to cure a hangover,” it comes in different flavors and versions depending on the region from where it comes. Whatever the locality, expect it to banish your benders.
