Welcome to Weekend Warrior, where we offer you a few ideas to kick-start your weekend of mayhem. Warriors, go forth.

Friday

Tomato Kick x Nomnomnom Opening at Tomas Morato in Quezon City

Maginhawa original Tomato Kick is opening its third branch and is holding a launch party with North Metro Manila favorite Nomnomnom. TK regulars who have checked out the new branch say it’s pricier and classier, and, because of having significantly fewer college students, has clean restrooms. The line up for the party is great and so is TK’s list of cocktails.

Revolver SNC at Saguijo

[[{“type”:”media”,”view_mode”:”media_original”,”fid”:”17305″,”attributes”:{“alt”:””,”class”:”media-image”,”height”:”338″,”style”:”display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;”,”typeof”:”foaf:Image”,”width”:”600″}}]]

Door charge is P200. You get a free beer (A San Miguel Pale Pilsen, pay a little extra to get a San Mig Light or Red Horse) and longer-than-usual sets by Ebe Dancel, Sandwich, Flying Ipis, and Turbo Goth.

7612 Guijo St. San Antonio Village, Makati City

Bleu Rascals at The Roadhouse Manila Bay

[[{“type”:”media”,”view_mode”:”media_original”,”fid”:”17307″,”attributes”:{“alt”:””,”class”:”media-image”,”height”:”450″,”style”:”display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;”,”typeof”:”foaf:Image”,”width”:”600″}}]]
The Roadhouse Manila Bay is the home of Blues music in Manila and is also incidentally where my last girlfriend and I broke up. The Bleu Rascals were playing that night and they’re playing tonight too. No cover charge and check your attitude at the door.

SM by the Bay, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City

Saturday

Philippine Dodge Ball League kicks off its second season at the Meralco Gym in Quezon City

[[{“type”:”media”,”view_mode”:”media_original”,”fid”:”17308″,”attributes”:{“alt”:””,”class”:”media-image”,”height”:”919″,”style”:”display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;”,”typeof”:”foaf:Image”,”width”:”600″}}]]
Pro tip from legendary coach: Patches O’Houlihan: If you want to have dodgeball victory, you have to grab it by its haunches and you gotta hump it into submission!

World Music Night with Talahib at Handuraw Pizza Sikatuna in Quezon City

[[{“type”:”media”,”view_mode”:”media_original”,”fid”:”17309″,”attributes”:{“alt”:””,”class”:”media-image”,”height”:”424″,”style”:”display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;”,”typeof”:”foaf:Image”,”width”:”600″}}]]

People’s music still exists and it exists beyond the bohemian boundaries of Malate. Check out Talahib at Handuraw at the corner of Masunurin and Anonas Extension. Have some pizza while you’re there.

FX! FX!! Weekend Offenders! at Today x Future

[[{“type”:”media”,”view_mode”:”media_original”,”fid”:”17311″,”attributes”:{“alt”:””,”class”:”media-image”,”height”:”598″,”style”:”display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;”,”typeof”:”foaf:Image”,”width”:”600″}}]]

To be honest, we’re not sure either.
