Our homegrown column, Kwentaxi by Juana C, is now a book! To be published by Anvil, the book will be available in all leading bookstores sooner than you can say “I will buy a copy.”
Kwentaxi is a collection of 35 of the best essays that have been published in Juana C’s weekly column on Coconuts Manila.
The super enjoyable Garden Taxi story and the highly inspiring Uber Ganda Babae story are included in the book.
“Super bago pa lang yung Kwentaxi sa Coconuts when people from Anvil got in touch with me,” Mae Paner aka Juana C tells Coconuts Manila excitedly.
Copies of the book should be in stores soon because there are already a few events lined up for it. On Sep 17, at 6pm, Juana C will be having a book signing event at the Metro Manila International Book Fair.
On Sep 24 at 6pm, the book will be officially launched at the Glorietta 1 branch of National Bookstore.
This early, Juana C and Anvil are bubbling with game-changing ways of distributing the book. “Kung may sari-sari stores nga sa luob ng mga taxi, bakit hindi book stores di ba?” she teases us on the phone.
