Patrol car rams into billboard, policemen injured

Two policemen were injured when the patrol car they were in skidded before crashing into a billboard on Friday.

Kuala Muda district police chief Assistant Commisioner Md Zukir Md Isa told The New Straits Times that the duo, Corporal Rodowan Abd Majid and Corporal Shuimi Sofian, were on their way to Kulim when the accident happened at KM108.6 of the North-South Expressway at 3.30pm.

Md Zukir said that Shuimi lost control of the patrol car, causing it to skid to the left side of the road before ramming into a billboard.

‎”The duo had just returned from a traffic summons operation in Bukit Kayu Hitam,” Md Zukir was quoted as saying. “They were sent to the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital for treatment.”
