A woman from Pandan Jaya pleaded guilty to the charge of causing hurt to her Indonesian maid … by pulling the maid’s teeth out with a pair of pliers.
The accused, Serene Ong Su Ping, is charged with committing the act at a house in Pandan Jaya between April 11 and December 20, under Section 326 of the Penal Code.
If convicted, Ong could be sentenced to 20 years in prison, and whipping.
The Star Online reports that Ong also pleaded not guilty to the charge of attempting to murder her mand on December 20.
Sessions judge Unaizah Mohd then set bail at RM15,000 with one surety for both charges.
She also ordered Ong to surrender her passport to the court and to report to the nearest police station at the end of every month. The court set Feb 5 for mention.
