Worker’s hand gets trapped in spice-mixing machine

A Bangladeshi worker nearly lost his left hand when it became trapped in a spice-mixing machine at a factory in Rayani, Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

According to The New Straits Times, the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department received a call around 2.40pm informing them about the accident. Nine firemen from the Rawang station were deployed to the scene, said the department’s assistant director (operations) Mohd Sani Harul.

The firemen managed to free the man’s hand in less than an hour, and the victim was taken to the Sungai Buloh hospital for treatment, added Mohd Sani.
