Three women attempted to create a medical emergency out of a drug raid in Bukit Bintang recently — they pretended to pass out when officers raided the entertainment outlet they worked in.
But, of course, the trick fell flat.
All three, in their 20s, were later found to have consumed ‘ice’ and that the whole ‘fainting’ trick was merely to create a diversion from the raid. Several customers had also tried to flee when they realised the outlets were being raided.
Federal Territories Ministry deputy secretary-general (Management and Socio- Economic) Datuk Nor ‘Aini Abd Wahab told Bernama that the women were among 15 people caught for various offences.
“From the inspections carried out by the Immigration Department at the two entertainment centres, 18 more individuals were arrested for not having personal identification documents and overstaying in the country,” she was quoted as saying.
“Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) also seized nine pornographic pictures from both premises,” she was quoted further, adding that 138 bottles of liquor were also confiscated.
