A woman has posted the dashcam footage of her worrying encounter with another vehicle, showing the driver of the other car seemingly reversing slowly into her car while both had stopped at a traffic light in the rain.
Her post has garnered over 56,000 views on Facebook.
Last Tuesday, Anne Faizuani Ismail was waiting at the traffic lights at the foot of Jalan Maarof, approaching the upmarket Bangsar area, when the driver of a Proton Waja on front of her proceeded to back up slowly into her, then exit the vehicle, and attempt to lay blame for the accident on Anne.
Luckily, she had a dashcam, and had video evidence of the entire incident. She was able to show the 45-second video clip to police, despite the fact that the gentleman driving the Waja insisted that Anne, who was alone at the time, was at fault.
Anne claims that upon exiting his car, he accused her of using her mobile phone, thus leading to the collision. When Anne told him that she had recorded the entire incident via her dashcam, she says that he changed his tone, saying that there was no damage done to her car, this no reason for a fuss.
Left shaken by the incident, she warned other netizens to invest in a dashcam, and for ladies driving alone such as herself to “beware” of the “pro Indian conman.”

Ok gurl – we vibe you, we hate a cheat, but for real we gotta move beyond these race-based identifiers, there is literally no need for them considering it’s not a suspect description, k? #SayNoToRacism
