The incident, which was reported to local police at 2.26pm yesterday, occured after the married couple were engaed in a heated argument.

Johor Baru Selatan police chief ACP Sulaiman Salleh told Bernama that the couple’s nine-year old daughter found the body of her mother at about 2pm after returning home from school. Th body was reportedly riddled with stab wounds, and the house was awash with blood.

The PDRM believe the suspect, a tailor, slit his wife’s throat with a knife before stabbing her repeatedly with a pair of scissors.

“The knife was found wiped clean and placed in the kitchen of the house,” Sulaiman said.

The suspect claimed to have been urged to commit the murder by voices he had heard in his head.
