Woman found sleeping in man’s bed, proceeds to stab him with a knife

A man was stabbed after an argument with a woman over who had the right to sleep in the victim’s bed.

Kota Kinabalu police chief Asst Comm M. Chandra told The Star Online that the victim, a stableman, had gone back to his room at a horse ranch in Kota Kinabalu at about 3am on Thursday to find the woman — an acquaintance — sleeping in his bed.

The man reportedly awakened the 29-year-old woman up and asked for his bed back, and that’s how the fight started.

“The woman did not want to give up the bed and later took a small knife and stabbed him in the waist,” ACP Chandra was quoted as saying.

The 41-year-old man then went to the hospital, where he received three stitches, before lodging a police report.

When the police went to the ranch to arrest the woman, she did not put up any resistance, according to the news report.

“The woman, who is believed to be mentally unstable, was sitting down holding a knife when police arrived to arrest her,” ACP Chandra added.
