While trying to lose the cops, a woman lost her life instead.
The Star Online reports that a woman fell to her death at a shophouse in Pusat Bandar Puchong, Serdang as she was trying to escape a police raid.
The incident reportedly happened at about 9pm on Tuesday.
OCPD Asst Comm Megat Mohamad Aminuddin Megat Alias told The Star Online that the police had raided the place in search for a crime suspect.
Panicked, the woman, an Indian national in her 30s, attempted to escape through the back door of her rental unit on the second floor when she fell to her death.
“She landed on the first floor and died on the spot,” ACP Megat Mohamad Aminuddin was quoted as saying.
He added that the victim, who reportedly was renting the unit with a man in his 40s, had died from a broken neck.
“We advise the public not to speculate on the case,” he was further quoted as saying.
