A woman in Johor Baru was arrested after police discovered that her online baby products business was a scam.
The New Straits Times reports that it all came to light after a customer who purchase’ diapers from her Facebook store lodged a report against her for not delivering the product despite having received payment.
The woman, who goes by the name Dhia Alesya Sofea on her Facebook page, was arrested in a house in Kampung Jawa, Kota Tinggi on Monday.
State police chief Datuk Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd told the NST that the woman had given her customer various excuses for not delivering the product after the cash transaction was made. According to him, the woman has been involved in at least 16 similar cases nationwide.
