A single mother was allegedly assaulted and had chilli powder rubbed onto her private parts on Sunday.
According to The New Straits Times, the incident happened at 9pm when the 52-year-old woman was visited by another woman at her home in Kampung Gong Tengah Dua, Terengganu.
The woman, with her three children in tow, demanded to speak to the victim and when she obliged, they allegedly bundled her into a pick-up truck.
Once she was in the truck, the woman was allegedly beat up with a rubber hose by the four suspects.
The victim also claimed that the suspects scrubbed chilli powder onto her private parts during the ordeal, which reportedly lasted for about an hour.
The suspects then dropped the victim off at her friend’s house in Kampung Banggol, and she was rushed to the Besut Hospital before being transferred to the HUSM in Kelantan.
District police chief Deputy Superintendent Elias Abubakar told the daily that four suspects were picked up and were held to facilitate investigations.
“We are investigating the motive of the attack”, Elias was quoted as saying.
