National media outlet Bernama confirmed this morning that the wife of former Prime Minister Najib Razak, Rosmah Mansor, posted half of her RM2 million (US$500,000) bail today.

Her RM1 million payment follows the 12 counts of money laundering and five counts of not declaring income (Ed. Note: CD sales?) she was charged with last Thursday at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex.

Reports have circulated that two unidentified women arrived in at the court complex at 10:15am this morning, went to the bail payment counter, and went about filing out the necessary paperwork to spring Rosmah from the clink. The process took one hour.

Last week, bail was set with two sureties after Rosmah entered a not guilty plea to all 17 charges, totaling RM7,097,750 (US$1.7 miliion or about 140 of the cheapest Birkins you can buy, tax not included).

The wife of the former PM will reappear in court on November 8 and has had her passports confiscated.
