Who Don’t Want? Volkswagen Malaysia slashes prices – get a Polo for RM70k

Yes, our economy is teetering on the brink, and understandably many Malaysians are anxiously keeping an eye sharply on their bank balances. But you know what would provide a bit of relief for everyone?

Cheaper German cars! Uh.

But seriously, Volkswagen Malaysia just dropped quite a chunk from the retail prices of some of their most popular models as part of what it calls the “Drop Everything” Sale.

The Passat sedan? It used to cost RM173,888. Now? It’s RM115,888, or RM53,000 off the recommended retail price.

The Jetta? Before the sale, it was priced at RM134,88, and now it’s RM46,000 off at RM88,888.

Arguably one of VW’s more popular models, the Polo Hatch, which usually goes for RM89,888, is now RM20,000 off at RM69,888.

Of course, “Drop Everything” is Volkswagen’s way of clearing its older stock, so all three of the models on offer are the 2014 and 2015 releases. But brand new, and at those discounts …

If we actually had any money that’s not being used to buy baby formula and keeping the lights on, we’d go for it!

And no, we don’t think any of these cars were ever involved in Volkswagen’s PR nightmare from last year
