The Damai Service Hospital in Taman Melawati — which made headlines recently for terminating the services of one of its nurses — became the target of vandals who splashed its entrance with white paint early yesterday.
A Bernama report said that the incident occurred around 3.30am, when a security guard spotted two men running off just after he heard noises at the main entrance.
The hospital’s finance and administration manager S. Regina was quoted as saying that the guards also found two plastic bags of white paint as well as a paint can.
“The closed circuit television (CCTV) showed two men throwing the can of paint before escaping on their motorcycles which were parked at a premises near the hospital. We have lodged a police report and they have viewed the CCTV recording to trace the two men,” she told Bernama.
Last week, the hospital made headlines following the termination of services of one of its nurses, Naziah Sauni Samat, 24, who alleged that her employers showed her the door after she refused to wear its short-sleeved uniform.
The hospital, however, insisted that her termination had nothing to do with her refusal to wear the said uniform; it was instead due to her being absent from work for two days without leave.
