What do to this weekend: RIUH in the City is back with a retro Malaysia edition

Stumped over what to do this weekend? We are thoroughly delighted to inform you that the monthly market RIUH in the City is back again for another installment at the gorgeous APW space in Bangsar.

Their mix of vendors showcasing their finest food, local designers offering up their fashions, music, activities and performances will remind you about all of the great things that urban living has to offer.

This month’s edition celebrates vintage Malaysia, with a special tribute to Tan Sri P. Ramlee, along with music and dance courtesy of Sean Ghazi & Tarakucha, Budak Nakal Hujung Simpang, old school vinyls by Public School, buskers, Mahavidya dance, Rapsodi Gamelan ensemble, and Keretapi Sarong Joget Lambak!

Our picks to DEFINITELY check out:

For food, you must must must go check out Mom’s BBQ KL. We were fools at the last RIUH, and ate before coming. When we saw Mom’s … pant buttons be damned, we had to have some brisket. It was delicious. We cried a little. Come hungry, and make room for Mom’s.

Photography lessons with KL’s most famous nightlife chronicler, All is Amazing. Know your portrait lighting from your landscape setting, guys!

Ukulele lessons! Thirty minutes of your life to learn uke basics and forever be THAT GUY at the party. We’re willing to risk it if it means we can learn how to play What’s My Age Again/
