Taking a leisurely stroll, are we?
A superyacht believed to be owned by flamboyant businessman Jho Low was reportedly spotted sailing up the Straits of Malacca on Thursday.
According to news portal Malaysiakini, ship tracking website Marinetraffic.com showed that the luxury yacht named Equanimity cruising just over 16 kilometres off the beaches of Port Dickson heading northwest at around 1.30pm.
The news portal also reported that Equanimity’s previously known stop was in Hong Kong waters, where it was believed to have been undergoing maintanence or repairs work back in August, according to Hong Kong daily South China Morning Post (SCMP).
Equanimity reportedly left Hong Kong on August 6.
The Hong Kong daily also reported that there had been speculation that the USD175 million (RM700 million) superyacht is to be sold, but no one dares to talk about it.
The 34-year-old Jho Low was named in the US Department of Justice’s lawsuit against 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) to seize assets worth billions of dollars back in August.
