Water supply to Kuala Lumpur and Hulu Langat is expected to be back to normal by Sunday.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) said that the damaged raw water pump at the Sungai Langat Water Treatment Plant (WTP) would be repaired in stages.
“With the operation of the raw water pump, the supply of treated water will return in stages,” its corporate affairs executive director Priscilla Alfred told Bernama, adding that 60 percent of Kuala Lumpur which saw unscheduled disruption since Saturday has recovered.
The damaged water pump had caused more than 402,300 homes to experience water shortage since Saturday.
