Many things can happen when you park indiscriminately in public places — your vehicle could get a ticket, get towed OR, participate in an 18-vehicle smash-up organised by a really, really mad lorry driver.
That final scenario happened in Nibong Tebal, Penang yesterday, when a lorry driver — reportedly stuck with his vehicle along a narrow path that had been blocked by cars overnight — decided to ram his way through all the 18 vehicles parked along the way.
The Star Online‘s Lo Tern Chern reports that many of the vehicles damaged in the spectacular show of fury along Lorong Rajawali 2 at 9am, belonged to customers of a nearby market.
A witness was quoted as saying that the the driver had been trying to get his lorry out since Saturday night.
“Angered because he could not move his lorry, the driver hit a car on his way out. We tried to stop him but he ignored us and continued to ram the lorry into the other cars parked there. Before we knew it, he was already out on the open road,” the witness was quoted as saying.
No one was injured in the incident and police are on the lookout for the driver.
