The Wanita UMNO member from Langkawi who was caught on video railing against party president and Prime Minister Najib Razak, then proceeded to sue Najib over his “lies” concerning the RM2.6 billion transferred into his personal bank accounts, was sacked from the Malay-Muslim party today.
Anina Saaduddin’s dismissal from UMNO was made known to the public through an online image of a letter from party leadership, informing her that disciplinary action had to be taken over her decision to take the party (and its president) to court, which is in violation of Article 20.7 of the UMNO party constitution.
The letter was signed by UMNO secretary-general Tengku Adnan Mansor.
When contacted by The Malaysian Insider, Anina said she had no comment to give on the matter at the time.
Last Friday, Anina had expressed her disappointment that Najib did not take her grievances to heart.
“I believe he has committed breach of trust and gone against the party constitution by accepting and spending the RM2.6 billion.”
