A video showing a man — believed to be a school warden — beating up a student at a vocational school in Sungai Buloh has been circulating on social media and police have confirmed its authenticity.
According to The Star Online, the Selangor deputy police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Rahim Jaafar said a 16-year-old student had lodged a report at the district police headquarters on Monday.
The incident occurred on May 3, at 5.30pm.
In the video, a man is seen stomping on and hitting the Form Four student after he found the boy allegedly smoking a cigarette at a staircase in the school.
Other students persuaded the man to stop and only did he relent.
