No 19-year-old has received such buzz online since Cristiano Ronaldo made his Manchester United debut back in 2003.
An image depicting a young-ish looking boy receiving a Datuk-ship has been widely circulated online and has stirred quite a reaction from Netizens.
The viral image shows the apparent recipient of the title dressed in ceremonial attire standing in a crowded waiting room with the caption: ‘Youngest Dato in Malaysia…19 years [old]..’.
The picture was reportedly uploaded onto Facebook on October 16.
After the image made its rounds on the social media site, many Netizens were stunned and expressed disbelief as they questioned the boy’s identity as well as his contribution to the country:
After some impressive detective work, Netizens were able to identify the man in the picture.
According to one Netizen, he is identified as Alvin Gor on Facebook and he is apparently a Forex trader…and he happens to be a multi-millionaire too:
Apparently, this Alvin guy has made a name for himself as a ‘money-is-no-object’ splurger.
Back in 2015, Alvin reportedly spent a jaw-dropping RM17,000 on alcohol just to meet and impress DJ Soda, who was performing in Malaysia at that time.
His escapade went super viral online; pictures of him partying with the popular DJ as well as the receipt of his alleged spending were widely circulated on the social media site:
to take a picture with her backstage. RM17k was really worth it.
And yes, he apparently has no problem flaunting his wealth for all to see too:
At the moment, there is no confirmation that the man in the picture was indeed Alvin, or if he was really conferred a Datukship
A quick check has revealed that he has deleted his Facebook account – probably due to the amount of flak he has been getting since his picture went viral.
But one thing is for certain though: have money, will travel. #truestorybro
