Officer workers in Kampung Kerinchi’s Bangsar South commercial district getting ready for the weekend bore witness to a shocking scene today, as a woman drove her car up the steps of an office building and tried to set herself and her car on fire.
The 5pm incident involved a woman believed to be a former employee of one of the companies operating out of the building, and who had deep misgivings about her experiences there.

The car erupts in flames at the 1:07 mark, despite the efforts of passersby and security personnel attempting to contain the situation.
Also found at the scene were several cans of fuel, a propane gas canister, and several fireworks, believed to have been used to set off the fire.
KL Crime Investigation Department chief Zainuddin Ahmad told Berita Harian that the woman, who was inside the car when it was set ablaze, suffered more than 50% burns on her body, and had been sent to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for further treatment.
