A dramatic video of rain, strong winds, flying debris, and the backdrop of a flare pit, has gone viral, sparking what one reporter at New Straits Times said was “unnecessary panic among the public.”

The storm, which saw the roof of a petrochemical holding tank blown off, occurred last night in Kertih, near Kuala Terengganu. However, no official reports on the incident have been lodged with police, although law enforcement does say that “they’ve seen the video.”

Police say that while the bark of the video is rather ferocious; the bite, less so. He went on to explain that these types of scenarios are quite common during storms with strong winds, and it’s quite often outsiders who are driving through that get shaken by it all. “With the flare pit in the background, the video looked quite dramatic,” admitted one local officer.

However, with no reports from the public on the incident, officers are pretty much ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
